Questions, answered.

Straight answers to the things growing companies actually ask us. Don’t see yours? Reach out and we’re happy to talk it through.

When should a company start working with a benefits strategist instead of just a broker?

Usually when benefits stop being simple: when renewals start surprising you, HR is stretched, or you’re hiring fast enough that last year’s plan no longer fits. If you’re feeling that, it’s the right time to talk.

What does "independent" actually mean, and why should I care?

It means we’re not owned by a national broker or tied to any one carrier. Our advice answers only to what’s right for your company, so we can build multi-year strategy and negotiate hard on your behalf, without a corporate agenda pulling the other way.

We're in a PEO. Can you help us decide whether to stay or leave?

Yes, and it’s one of the things we’re known for. We’ll give you an honest read on whether your PEO still makes sense, and if you decide to leave, we manage the whole transition, start to finish.

How involved will senior-level people actually be?

Very involved. The senior advisor you meet is the one who stays with your account, not a hand-off to a junior team member. It’s a big part of why 95% of our clients stay with us.

What size company do you work with?

We work with growing companies across a range of stages, from firms just outgrowing a simple plan to established employers managing complex programs. If benefits have started to feel bigger than your current setup, you’re likely a good fit.

How do you help with compliance?

We help you stay ahead of what applies to your business, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and California-specific rules, and we translate what’s changing into plain language. For formal legal questions we’ll point you to the right specialist, but you’ll never be caught off guard.
